Thiksey has several temples within its complex and filled with images of stupas, wall painting of Buddhas, and several equipments used in ancient times on display. Among these, one cannot miss the Maitreya statue inside the complex which takes up about 2 storeys of the building. It’s the largest statue of Maitrey in central Ladakh.
